It doesn't matter if you are promoting affiliate products, your own products, a professional service or even a network marketing or home business opportunity…
According to Jay Abraham, one of the world's most well-known business profit strategists, there are only 3 ways for a business to make more money:
- Increase the number of clients
- Increase the average transaction
- Increase the frequency the average client buys from you
In other words…
Makes sense, right?
But the challenge is… how do we actually go about making that happen?
Because nobody likes to be SOLD anything. We all love to buy stuff, but we hate someone trying to sell us their stuff. Which is weird, but it is what it is. (Remember the last time you walked into a furniture store or appliance store or a new car lot? Yeah. We all HATE to be sold!)
So how do we get past that automatic barrier of resistance?
How can we sell more without selling?
For the past five or six years I've been promoting an affiliate program called My Lead System Pro which offers a complete suite of online marketing tools and training to help affiliate marketers and network marketers build a profitable business… primarily by blogging and SEO.
I written a few blog posts about MLSP and I've cut a few “video reviews” about the program and then I used a number of kick-butt SEO tricks to get that content to RANK on the major search engines when the hottest of hot prospects are actively searching for it.
In other words…
I am simply making it easy for the hottest of hot prospects to FIND what they are shopping for!
The magic of getting your PRODUCT OFFERS to rank organically on the front page of the major search engines… or the magic of running PAID PRODUCT ADS… is you are simply making it EASY for people to FIND and BUY what they are already shopping for!
It's a brilliantly simple, yet effective way to sell more without selling.
Present the Right Offer to the Right People
Lisa and I have been married for 34+ years and have two boys.
The oldest is 31, the youngest is 20. So we stopped buying ‘toys for the boys' a long time ago and it has been even longer since we had a need for baby furniture or anything like that. Yet…
We must get over 3 dozen different toy catalogues and young family oriented catalogues a year.
How does that make any sense?
These companies are wasting a TON of time, effort and money to “sell ice to an eskimo” and, frankly, it doesn't work well!
How about you?
Are you wasting precious time, effort and money presenting the wrong offers to the wrong audience?
For example, this blog is designed to attract people who are actively searching for a MLM company to join as a distributor and the goal of each post is to RANK on the search engines when the ‘HOTTEST OF HOT' prospects are actively searching for more information about a particular company.
The site currently ranks on the front page of the major search engines for many of the top 25 mlm company search phrases. Which is great.
So far so good.
But once they land on the site…
Do you see how I am presenting the WRONG OFFER to this particular audience?
Which totally negates the purpose of the site and wastes time, energy and money?
It took me over a year of trying to figure out why our traffic wasn't converting into more sales and sign ups.
We are ATTRACTING business opportunity seekers… and attempting to SELL a “how to grow your business” related product.
Which makes NO SENSE because the majority of these people haven't joined a business yet. They are still looking to join a business.
It's like trying to sell me more ‘toys for the boys' – it's not going to work!
